Sunday night, we slipped into Montepulciano after dark, when the mountain-top town was already quiet and sleepy. Nancy found a charming wine bar called Osteria del Borgo, with a view of the glowing sky, following the setting sun. No "secondi piati," here, so we had just enough food and wine before heading to our first night in Chianciano Terme.
